MOSCOW- Russia produced 19.92 tonnes of gold in January, up from 17.49 tonnes in the same period in 2019, the finance ministry said on Monday.

Production for the period included 16.12 tonnes of mined gold compared with 14.03 tonnes a year ago, the ministry said.

Silver production totalled 72.27 tonnes in January, up from 64.51 tonnes in the same period of 2019.
