Saudi Arabia's National Agricultural Development Company (Nadec) said more than 50 per cent of the construction work has been completed on the 30 MW solar energy project coming up at its facility in Haradh region of the kingdom.

Nadec said the project is still in the construction stage due to the Covid-19 pandemic leading to a force majeure situation and impact of global supply chains.

This has resulted in delay of some project execution work leading to postponement of supply and implementation activities of the project, stated the top food-processing company in its filing to Saudi bourse Tadwul.

The project is likely to be commissioned early next year and the commercial operation set to kick off on March 31, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
