Saudi Arabia’s precautionary decision to suspend attendance to workplaces amid COVID-19 has not impacted business continuity due to the existence of digital infrastructure, systems, and platforms, the Ministry of Finance has said.

The Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Ministry of Finance Abdulaziz Al-Freih said that digital transformation adopted by the various sectors have ensured business continuity.

The educational, health, justice, security, civil, and financial sectors took the lead in onboarding the necessary digital infrastructure.

Saudi Arabia is ranked third in the world for the largest fifth-generation networks in 2019 and came third in technical governance among G-20 countries.
