On 7th of January 2015, the global aviation industry and the rest of the world - through live streaming -joined the audience at the Doha International Airport Premium Terminal for a historic milestone as Qatar Airways inaugurated the world's first Airbus A350 XWB in a spectacular event created in tandem with mamemo productions.
Led by mamemo productions Managing & Creative Director Sam Katiela & his team of creative, technical and production experts, the empty tarmac was transformed into an elegant event venue with a giant 9m x 80m screen as the centerpiece, where mamemo's in-house production team created a powerful show.
Qatar's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs His Excellency Mr. Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud, and Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker pushed the throttle and initiated the reveal ceremony. Through a dramatic opening of screens, the real aircraft was unveiled to the audience, followed by a breathtaking mapping projection show on the 67m long aircraft. Bringing the celebration to its peak is mamemo productions' signature symphony of light, a high-powered choreography of sky trackers that created moving patterns and beams of light more than 1km up the night sky.
