BERLIN, 29th May 2015 (WAM) --- Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Belhaif Al Nuaimi, the UAE Minister of Public Works and Chairman of the Federal Authority for Land and Maritime Transport, met with Alexander Dobrindt, Germany's Minister for Transportation and Digital Infrastructure to examine various avenues of cooperation between their two countries and ways of promoting and expanding these avenues.

Their meeting focused on cooperation between the UAE and Germany in the field of rail transport as well as transport security and technology. The two ministers met on the sidelines of the International Transport Forum Summit 2015, which concluded today in Leipzig, Germany.

Minister Al Nuaimi praised Germany's experience and expertise in land and rail transport. He stressed that exchanging visits between the two countries is important for enhancing relations and exchanging views.

He said that the UAE has advanced infrastructure and transport systems and was quick to achieve this progress thanks to the wise leadership who are keen on sowing the seeds of the culture of knowledge and exchange of expertise with brotherly and friendly countries.

"The UAE's keen interest in participating in such forums is part of its strategy for promoting knowledge and providing platforms that attract expertise and encourage the building of knowledge-based economy in the country," Minister Al Nuaimi concluded.
