Saudi British Bank (SABB) has appointed Tony Cripps as the new managing director, chief executive officer and board member, effective 23 May, 2021.

This follows the resignation of managing director and chief executive officer David Dew, the bank said in a statement to Tadawul Wednesday.

Dew’s resignation is effective May 23, 2021. He will also resign as member of the board but will continue as an advisor until May 2022.

Cripps holds more than 36 years of experience in the banking industry. He joins SABB from HSBC in Singapore, where he was the CEO for the past four years. He previously led HSBC’s businesses as CEO in Australia and the Philippines.

SABB shares are trading slightly higher at 25.85 riyals on Thursday.
