Doha, Qatar – Royal Philips (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHIA) announced today that is has officially opened its new scientific office in Qatar.
The new opening comes as part of the company’s overall expansion efforts across the region, and commitment to drive robust partnerships in Qatar with an aim to develop stronger healthcare outcomes.
The opening ceremony included Her Excellency, Bahia Tahzib-Lie, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Qatar; Jan Kimpen, Philips Global Chief Medical Officer, Arjen Radder, Philips CEO for the Middle East and Turkey; Sheikh Mohamed Bin Khalid Al Thani, Philips partners in Qatar in addition to business leaders.
Arjen Radder said, ‘‘Qatar is an important market for Philips. The new office opening reflects Philips’ growing commitment towards investing in the wider region. Our underlying vision is to make the world healthier and more sustainable through innovation.
