International accreditation recognizes the standard of laboratory services, an integral component in the delivery of world-class healthcare at Abu Dhabi's multispecialty hospital
Abu Dhabi - Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi and National Reference Laboratory, both part of Mubadala's network of world-class healthcare providers set up to meet the specific healthcare needs of Abu Dhabi, today announced that the Accreditation Committee of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) has awarded accreditation to the joint Anatomic Pathology Laboratory at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. This award is based on the successful outcome of a recent on-site inspection, which is part of the CAP's accreditation process.
In partnership with Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, National Reference Laboratory manages the technical component of the joint Anatomic Pathology Laboratory and is responsible for all Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi laboratory referral testing.

Through its e-pathology systems, this lab has direct access to a large network of experienced pathologists who provide accurate diagnoses even for the most complicated cases and therefore fulfilling the role of the Mubadala Healthcare network to bring highly specialized services closer to the UAE population"

Following the latest CAP accreditation of the joint Anatomic Pathology Laboratory at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, the network of laboratories of National Reference Laboratory now consists of four CAP accredited laboratories, including the accreditation of the Dubai and Abu Dhabi laboratories in 2011 and 2012 and the laboratory at Healthpoint Hospital in 2015. The Quality Assurance Department of National Reference Laboratory is in the process of preparing two additional laboratories for the CAP accreditation by Q2 of 2016, striving to become the largest networks of CAP-accredited laboratories in the Middle East.
