Muscat - Bin Mirza International has signed Spun Candy of Covent Garden, the concept confectionists from the United Kingdom, to its ever-growing portfolio of world-renowned food and beverage brands. This marks the company's sixth global franchise, fortifying its position as a leading home grown establishment in the Omani hospitality industry.

Jannat Moosa, Marketing Director at Bin Mirza International said, "Spun Candy is completely different to the other brands under our umbrella and we are excited to bring its artisanal, handcrafted treats that are made with all natural ingredients to Oman. We will open the first Spun Candy store in Muscat later this year to meet the market demand for a candy retail concept that allows customers to view and customize their order specifically to their liking."

James Ellender, Managing Director of Spun Candy said, "We are always in search of trusted franchise partners worldwide, and as luck would have it, Bin Mirza International's Hani Ali Mirza and Jannat Moosa approached us in Selfridges London in 2014 when we had our pop up kitchen running. Having found the perfect partners to work with to create our latest candy store, we are enthusiastic about opening our third confectionery store and kitchen in the Middle East after Dubai and Abu Dhabi."

The open, factory-style kitchens at Spun Candy stores invite customers to immerse themselves in the candy making process that is performed by confectioners who pull and twist sugar that has been boiled to 160 degrees. The artisan process of making hard rock candy, sours and butterscotch stems from methods practiced around the world, and the entirely handcrafted collections are full of natural fruit flavours, gelatin-free and suitable for vegetarians. Not only can customers treat themselves to the array of confectionery on offer at the store, but create bespoke sweets tailored to their requirements, including personalized wedding or corporate candy.

In addition to Spun Candy, Bin Mirza International's portfolio encompasses Second Cup cafés and CinnZeo Bakery cafés from Canada, Nando's PERi-PERi Chicken restaurants from South Africa, boutique bakery BreadTalk from Singapore and Steak Escape Sandwich Grill restaurant from the United States. Under a new logo, designed to represent the company's Omani heritage and the open door of possibilities, Bin Mirza International will continue with its ambitious expansion plan by acquiring additional brands and opening more outlets to reach customers across the Sultanate.
