MANAMA: Alsayah Square has signed an agreement with Mega Mart, which will open a full-service supermarket in the medical and commercial complex located in Busaiteen.

The 1,500sqm store is scheduled to open in the first half this year offering residents and visitors with an assortment of local and international products at a competitive price, said a statement.

It will also feature a selection of food stations offering freshly cut fruit, assorted salads, juices and baked goods.

Mega Mart is the sole distributor of UK–based Tesco’s products in Bahrain.

Commenting on the partnership, a senior member of Alsayah Square’s management said: “The management of Alsayah Square is committed to providing the community with a diverse selection of services. At the time of the opening, Mega Mart will be one of the largest supermarkets in Busaiteen effectively meeting a longstanding requirement of the area. A family favourite amongst many, we are excited to welcome customers who we believe will be delighted to learn that Alsayah Square has been developed keeping in mind their needs and demands.”

Alsayah Square is located in Busaiteen in close proximity to the King Hamad University Hospital and Royal College for Surgeons in Ireland.

The 100,000sqft project will feature international restaurants, cafes, a supermarket, a medical complex and more.
