Muscat - The UAE-based electronics retailer Sharaf DG on Thursday announced the opening of its fourth store in Oman in the presence of senior officials of the company.

The new store, which is located inside Muscat City Centre, in an area of 13,500sq ft, has a wide range of electronics including, televisions, mobiles, tablets, consumer electronic products and other gaming accessories, the company said in a release.

“This store adopts the new design launched last year with cutting-edge experiences like the retail area screens, tablets for every employee and a new retail design,” the release said.

Speaking at the inauguration of the store, Nilesh Khalkho, chief executive officer at Sharaf DG said, “I am extremely pleased to inaugurate our latest store at Muscat City Centre in Oman.”

The opening was witnessed by hundreds of consumers, who gathered outside the store. The company had announced some attractive offers on the opening day, which attracted a large number of visitors to the store on the first day itself.

“To celebrate the opening, the company has launched an exclusive offer. Our various initiatives over the last decade helped us reach the number one position and I am sure that the support from customers will help us work harder to stay there,” Khalkho said.

On future expansion plans, Khalkho said the company is continuously looking for expanding operations in the country. However, much would depend on the availability of space.

“Space is crucial for the success. That is why we have already booked a space for the new store at upcoming Mall of Oman, construction of which is currently going on.”

Starting in 2005, Sharaf DG has been able to make a mark for itself in markets across GCC regions.

The company claims that over one million customers visit its stores every month.
