Oman's The General Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones has allotted land for a clean energy zone within the Duqm special economic zone, according to a tweet posted by state-run media Oman News Agency.

The Authority has allotted 100 square kilometers along the sea to generate around 10 gigawatts of electrical energy, the agency said in a tweet.

The agency also tweeted that a group of international companies have expressed interest to invest in green hydrogen projects in the free economic zones in the Sultanate.
