Dubai:  In yet another highly effective year of incredible academic effort, under the banner of the Kings’ Schools Group, two Kings’ UK curriculum campus schools have achieved the ‘Outstanding” rating, while the other school in the group scored an improvement in rating to ‘Very Good’. In the recently announced Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) DSIB inspection ranking for 2018-19, Kings’ School Dubai in Jumeriah has maintained the ‘Outstanding’ grade for the 11th consecutive year. While Kings’ School Barsha rises to the ‘Outstanding’ category and Kings’ School Nad Al Sheba achieved ‘Very Good’.

Operating in Dubai since 2004, the Schools Group, with over 3000 students, has lived up to the reputation for delivering ‘outstanding’ education in the premium British curriculum sector in Dubai. The new DSIB Inspection reports confirm that learners have the advantage of having a leadership that is focused on ‘sustaining a culture of inclusion and innovation’ across all of the schools and also highlights the commitment of Kings’ to deliver H.H. Sheikh Mohammed’s vision encompassed in the National Agenda in relation to raising the quality of education in Dubai.

The reports highlight the superior teaching skills that are ‘inspirational with high standards expected in relation to the positive impact on the Kings’ students’. All of the schools are also highly praised for ‘placing an emphasis on student moral values’ and describing Kings’ students as ‘self-assured, resilient, respectful and compassionate learners.’

Alan Williamson, CEO of the Kings’ group of schools, said, “I am truly delighted with the KHDA reports that collectively describe the Kings’ curriculum as ‘vibrant, innovative and motivational’ which is something that we place a huge emphasis on in terms of creativity in our concept-based teaching. I am particularly proud that the reports are so complementary of our incredible Kings’ ECA programmes. This is definitely an area that parents identify as a reason for being part of the Kings’ Family. Another highlight of all the reports is our attention to safety and a protective environment, along with very positive comments on ‘student wellbeing, happiness and healthy lifestyle.’ We are absolutely delighted that all our three schools are now ‘outstanding’ in the foundation KG stage, which is actually described as a ‘model of best practice’ highlighting our commitment to the importance of an innovative early years education.”

All of the new Kings’ Schools reports also highlight the highly effective leadership of the Kings’ Principals and Mr Williamson made specific reference to the role each one of them plays, along with the teams around them, to the success of each of the Kings’ Schools. Mr Bede Higgins, Principal at Kings’ School Dubai along with his Deputy Head teacher, Ms Sarah Reynolds, are described as ‘sustaining a culture of innovation’, and the ‘inspirational leadership’ of Mrs Rebecca Gray is highlighted as key to ‘the drive for systematic and successful improvement’. It also highlights the inspiring leadership team, under the new Principal, Mrs Kate Fuller, in Kings’ School Nad Al Sheba.

“While we have the ‘Outstanding’ reputation, at Kings’ we are left with realistic and achievable action points by the DSIB KHDA inspectors. Across the schools we will continue our focus on improving Arabic and Islamic Education. We have already drawn up plans to continue our on-going improvement agenda. Overall, we are very proud of the three reports and yet again Kings’ shines in the context for education in Dubai with our continuing and ongoing reputation to deliver ‘outstanding’ education,” Williamson added.
