Sharjah: Offering UAE residents yet another opportunity to shop, eat, learn and be entertained, Sharjah’s leisure destination for families and tourists, Al Qasba, has announced a four-month Pop-up Avenue outdoor market, which begins this Thursday, February 13.
Until Eid Al-Fitr which falls on May 24 this year, the Pop-Up Avenue will line the beautiful canal-side walkways of Al Qasba, with a vibrant pop-up bazaar. Featuring UAE-based designers and entrepreneurs, these Pop Up stalls will be selling everything from traditional clothing, quirky jewellery, souvenirs and spices, to perfumes, décor items and accessories. A great opportunity, not only to explore and buy unique products, but also engage with talented creators, their story, their passion and love.
The market will be open every day from 4:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m., for general public.
Outdoor cinema, roaming shows, stage performances, kids workshops
Stand-up comedy shows and a host of stage entertainment, storytelling sessions and interactive games for children, flash mob dance performances and amazing roaming parades featuring talented dancers and singers who will go around the destination entertaining visitors, will all come together to create a lively, carnival-like atmosphere at the Pop Up Avenue.
Other attractions include an outdoor cinema that will play family-friendly movies to appeal to both kids and adults, and complete the experience with popcorn, cotton candy and other favourite cinema snacks.
Those who have a passion for the spoken word art form can use the open mic platform, which will be provided at this market, and a variety of edutainment workshops for kids will be organised to keep them happy and entertained.
