Egyptian developer Mountain View will start construction work on its 100-acre Heartwork commercial project in New Cairo in November, the company chairman said.

Amr Ismail told Thomson Reuters Projects that the project forms part of the company's 500-acre iCity New Cairo residential project, which is a joint venture with the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA).

He said Heartwork would be developed in three phases, with the first phase occupying 30 acres but declined to reveal details about project value, number of units and completion timelines.

Earlier this month, Daily News Egypt has reported that US-based CallisonRTKL will design the the project.

iCity New Cairo is owned 40 percent by NUCA and 60 percent by Mountain View and its Saudi partner Sisban Holding.
