AJMAN - The Ajman branch of the Dar Al Ber Society donated AED199,000 to a social humanitarian initiative, which is the first of its kind in the region and launched by Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, in cooperation with the Ministry of Community Development, to equip the homes of the hearing impaired with smart accessories and equipment.

Regarding the programme, Faisal Sahrawi, Director of the Ajman Branch of the Society, said, "This charity aims to support the initiatives of the Ministry of Community Development and the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, which seeks to establish a culture of social and national responsibility."

The donation also aims to promote charitable giving to those with hearing difficulties and reach the largest number of beneficiaries, which will enable them to join their peers, interact with community members, ensure their social stature, and strengthen their psychological and mental health, he added.
