UAE - Fitness centres and gyms in Dubai have been directed to increase the physical distancing between the sports equipment and trainees from 2 to 3 metres.

The Dubai Economy and the Dubai Sports Council issued the directive on Friday, January 22, "to ensure public health and reinforce safety measures".

This is the latest in a series of Covid safety announcements made in Dubai today.

Earlier today, the emirate tightened the rules around hosting parties and weddings; and introduced new social distancing protocols at restaurants.
