Muscat: Oman Cables Industry welcomed the Omani-Saudi Coordination Council headed by Omani Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, Qais bin Mohammed Al-Yousef and the Saudi Minister of Investment Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih.

The delegation was received by Cinzia Farisè, Chief Executive Officer of Oman Cables at the company’s Advanced Testing Laboratory – the most advanced technology, research and development centre in the region.

The visit was the occasion for Oman Cables to offer a brief presentation of the unique manufacturing capabilities and efficient operations that marked the reputation of the company for the last four decades, conquering a leading position in the region and becoming a centre of excellence of Prysmian Group in Oman and the Middle East.

With an infrastructure for open innovation, Oman Cables has recently successfully industrialised revolutionary advanced proprietary technologies owned by Prysmian Group.

The integration with the World Cable Giant with over 10 billion euro turnover meant for Oman Cables continued transfer of Prysmian Group technology, as well as people empowerment through worldwide recruitment programmes and training at Prysmian Group’s academic centres in partnership with international Business and Technical schools with special focus on strengthening local individual skills.

The ultimate target of Oman Cables is now to promote a business model that integrates economic, social and environmental responsibility in every aspect and activity that the company is performing.

“We express our full gratitude to the Omani government: Our success is the country success,” said Farisè. “We are proud to offer our contribution to the industrialisation and the economy of Oman as well as of the countries we serve and to be the exclusive solution partner for the most prestigious projects within the Region.” “We confirm Oman Cables’ mission to continue linking Oman to the future, supporting Oman Vision 2040, as well as cooperating to the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 through a continuous transfer of Prysmian Group technology, people empowerment and investment in innovative sustainable solutions within the region.”

With these words, Farisè thanked the delegation led by Qais Al Yousef and Eng Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al Falih for the honourable visit to Oman Cables and expressed sincere wishes and full support for successful long-term cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
