UAE – The total number of companies at the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) reached 18,000 after 1,753 new companies had joined the centre since the beginning of 2020.

This announcement was made by the Executive Chairman and CEO of DMCC, Ahmed bin Sulayem, during his interview with local media.

Sulayem referred that DMCC seeks to add 2,000 new companies by the end of 2020.

The CEO of DMCC said that the centre is currently considering the establishment of specialised centres for the halal meat and cocoa trade following the success of coffee and tea centres.

Sulayem further remarked that talks are being held with cocoa exporters from Ecuador, India, Peru, and Guatemala to establish the centre in Dubai.
