ArabFinance: Orascom Investment Holding (OIH) posted a consolidated net loss of EGP 46.384 million in quarter one (Q1) 2021, according to the companys financial statements filed to the Egyptian Exchange.
In Q1 2020, the company posted a consolidated net profit of EGP 43.095 million.
Standalone net loss reached EGP 42.348 million in Q1 2021, against net profit of EGP 45.279 million posted in Q1 2020.
OIH will sell its 51% stake in Pakistan's Transworld Associates Private Limited (TWA).
OIH, formerly Orascom Telecom Media and Technology Holding, is an Egypt-based holding company engaged in the telecommunications sector. The companys activities are mainly divided into its global system for mobile communications, media and technology, cable, energy, financial, real estate, and entertainment businesses.
