Kuwait: Zain, the leading digital service provider in Kuwait, announced its sponsorship of the annual TAKREEM awards ceremony in its 9th edition held under the umbrella of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS). The event, hosted by the State of Kuwait from 17 – 18 November, will be held at Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmad Cultural Center (JACC) under the patronage of H.H. the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah.

Zain’s support to TAKREEM comes in line with the company’s strong belief in the importance of supporting and encouraging initiatives that highlight Arab achievers and innovators in all areas. Such events will contribute to reflect a positive image of the Arab world, and help recognize the distinguished role of the Arab figure in the further progress of civilizations and nations.

TAKREEM has selected the State of Kuwait to host its 9th annual awards ceremony at Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmad Cultural Center (JACC). During the ceremony, the event will highlight a number of Arab success stories though the recognition and honoring of Arab achievers, both individuals and institutes, from many categories. The categories include: Humanitarian and Civic Services, Outstanding Arab Woman, Excellence in Education, Young Entrepreneur, Environmental Development and Sustainability, Scientific and Technological Achievement, Cultural Excellence, Corporate Leadership, and International Contribution to Arab Society.

TAKREEM’s 9th annual awards ceremony will also witness the recognition of the late Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, as well as H.H. the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah the Humanitarian Leader, for the plethora of humanitarian and charitable initiatives they adopted and launched throughout the years and all around the world. This year’s event will also feature the new TAKminds forum, which will include many panel discussions about Arab-related matters.

Zain has always been a main supporter of such initiatives that cater to highlighting distinguished achievements of Kuwaiti and Arab figures. The company is keen on enriching its partnerships with various entities and organizations that exert efforts into developing the Arab role within all areas to contribute to the progress of nations.                                           

Each year, TAKREEM is held in a different city, with previous editions respectively held in Beirut, Doha, Manama, Paris, Marrakesh, Dubai, Cairo, and Amman. Candidates are chosen by a Selection Board that consists of highly qualified experts. Laureates are objectively selected regardless of age, gender, nationality, religion or political affiliation. Candidates must be of Arab origin for all categories except for: The award of International Contribution to Arab Society.
