Dubai: As e-commerce trade has increased by a whopping 1,500 per cent across the Middle East in the past decade, a leading affiliate marketing platform is helping the UAE companies woo most of the 50 per cent of online sales generated in the region.

ArabClicks – a Dubai-based marketing platform that helps e-commerce companies connect and grow in the Middle Eastern markets – provides its clients with new monetisation tools, which smoothly transform published content into a potential source of revenue generation.

“About 64 per cent of the UAE’s population is under 31. More than 70 per cent of them make online purchases. Our advertisement marketing programmes help content publishers bring in revenue through online links without disturbing the website users,” said ArabClicks Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Mauro Romano.

According to a recent study by PayFort, the GCC’s online retail revenues are expected to reach US$69 billion by 2020. The UAE leads the way regionally in terms of online sales, with annual sales expected to reach US$23.7 billion by 2022.

An average amount of one online purchase in the UAE is more than $300 as compared to Saudi Arabia where residents spend $90 and France where the average amount of spending is about $94. “Products like ArabClicks LinkConverter and Arabclicks SmartLink turn any hyperlinks into a source of revenue generation without altering the user experience,” ArabClicks Co-Founder and Chairman Khaled Al Huraimel said.

While ArabClicks LinkConverter scans website content and makes online links embedded in a publisher's content generate income, its SmartLink enables publishers and influencers to monetise commercial link across all of social networks and channels.

LinkConverter finds and changes normal links to affiliate links, ensuring the publishers get credit for any sales driven to the merchant’s page. “Joining ArabClicks network automatically connects publishers to leading brands such as Noon, Souq, Namshi and Aliexpress. Anyone using ArabClicks code on their website effectively becomes part of the affiliate network,” Romano said.

The unique feature of Arabclicks SmartLink, meanwhile, allows content creators to tweet, post share and send revenue generating links to anyone anywhere.

“Our affiliate links aren’t just limited to blogs and websites. Arabclicks SmartLink helps turn product and brands links into a high-powered hyperlink that earns commission for every sale,” Al Huraimel said adding that this means everyone can now make money from Facebook Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, email list, and other online platforms.

Influencers have an extremely powerful effect on most social media platforms. “They give a brand or a product a social proof as they are unique and real and have a social connection to their followers. ArabClicks SmartLink creates monetised links for any merchant page from its network. With just one click to copy and paste, any product link that you want to publish will convert to a revenue-generating link that can be shared and sent anywhere,” Al Huraimel explained.

“For example, if you are a fashion influencer, and you post a designer dress on your Instagram, you can share in the post the ArabClicks SmartLink for the item in the photo. For every purchase from the merchant’s store made from your link, you will get a commission,” he added.
