India-headquartered engineering giant Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has won a gas pipeline order from Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), the company announced on Monday.

The large contract for the 145-kilometre export gas strategic pipeline and its associated facilities was awarded through international competitive bidding on a Lump Sum Turn Key (LSTK) basis, the company said in a press statement.

The statement didn't disclose the contract value but L&T classifies contract awards in the range of INR 25-50 billion ($360 million - $721 million) as large orders.

L&T is currently executing a 48" Crude Transit Line (CTL) from North Kuwait to Central Mixing Manifold (CMM) located near Ahmadi, the statement added.

Last week, the company had announced that it had bagged a large contract for a coke calciner project in Oman by Tawfiq Coke Products-Oman.
