ArabFinance: Digital healthcare platform Vezeeta has denied illegalities in its recently-launched e-pharmacy service. The company was accused in February by the Pharmacists Syndicate of selling medication online without a pharmacy license, as well as infringing a national law that forbids advertising meds on social media and television.

The e-service is an extension of physical pharmacies which are commercially licensed by the General Authority for Investment (GAFI), Vezeeta affirmed in a statement issued on March 4th. According to the company, all physical stores are also run and supervised by licensed pharmacists.
