His Highness Sheikh Abdullah Bin Salem Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, inaugurated today the 6th edition of Real Estate Investment Exhibition (ACRES 2019), which is organized under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammad Sultan Al Qasimi, the Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.

The exhibition, which is held at Expo Sharjah until 21st March, is organized by Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI), Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department and Real Estate Sector Business Group in Sharjah.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Salem Al Qasimi, accompanied by Chairman of Sharjah Chamber and a number of senior figures and officials, toured the various exhibition’s booths and the prominent real estate projects of major real estate companies and developers.

During his tour, Sheikh Abdullah was briefed about the most important real estate ventures in the Emirate of Sharjah, which are on the path of development and growth, especially in the promising real estate sector.

He was also briefed about the latest innovations of the firms that decided to come to Sharjah as a centre for constructing its real estate projects and shedding light on its major real estate services, such as design, construction, and real estate development services.

The current edition of ACRES 2019 is witnessing the biggest participation of local, regional and international real estate firms, in addition to real estate development and contracting companies, building and construction materials companies, real estate brokers, banks, financial institutions, architectural design services companies, interior design companies and a number of concerned local government departments. 

In the same context, insurance and engineering services firms participate in the exhibition, as well as project management firms which showcased its future real estate ventures, which attracted a remarkable turnout by the investors and visitors in the light of the recent facilities adopted by the UAE government, with regard to issuing long-term visas for real estate investors.

His Excellency Waleed Abdul Rahman Bu Khatir, Second Deputy Chairman of SCCI, commended the key role of the exhibition in strengthening the key pillars of Sharjah’s economy and its successful growth march, considering that real estate sector is one of the robust fundamentals of Sharjah’s economy excellence and its capability of attracting investments and investors.

He attributed the exhibition success to the wise directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, in terms of giving a special focus on supporting the diverse economic sectors and enhancing its global competitiveness.

The Second Deputy Chairman of SCCI hailed the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammad Sultan Al Qasimi, the Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and his limitless support for the economic activities which serve Sharjah’s sustainable growth.

Bu Khatir added that ACRES 2019 serves Sharjah’s strategic plans in consolidating foundations for growth, by providing an incubator environment for investment from around the world, in addition to reinforcing Sharjah’s position and reputation as a world-class real estate destination.

In turn, His Excellency Abdul Aziz Ahmed Al Shamsi, Director General of the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Directorate, said that hosting such a real estate exhibition and cooperation of the all concerned authorities represent a promising model of partnerships, which pour in the interest of the private sector and development march.

Al Shamsi added that this exhibition is a value added to the reputation of Sharjah’s real estate sector and contributes to increasing the momentum of the real estate sector in order to resume its successful march.

He pointed out that ACRES 2019 forms a prototype of a future with great opportunities awaiting the real estate sector and its entire components in the Emirate of Sharjah.

His Excellency Saeed Ghanim Al Suwaidi, Chairman of Real Estate Sector Business Group, shed the light on the remarkable turnout for the current edition of ACRES 2019, which is considered the highest attendance since the kick-off of the exhibition.

He also stated that this edition is witnessing the participation of new exhibitors, the matter that reflects the distinguished reputation of ACRES 2019 among the global real estate community.

Al Suwaidi added that the residential and commercial projects, which are currently presented in the exhibition, are characterized by innovative and qualitative specifications that are the first-of-its-kind in the region.

“One of the most significant benefits of the exhibition is the distinguished chance to create a dialogue among the investors, real estate developers and government officials who are incharge of real estate policies and legislation in the Emirate of Sharjah. Such a positive and constructive cooperation, among the different organizing bodies, serves the joint goals of those authorities,” Al Suwaidi explained.

Worth mentioning that the exhibition activities will last until March 21st, with the support of Sharjah Expo Centre, and an official sponsorship of Sharjah City Municipality, Directorate of Town Planning and Survey and Sharjah Economic Development Department, in addition to the golden sponsor Telal Real Estate and the media sponsor Sharjah Media Corporation.

ACRES 2019 receives its visitors from 10 AM to 8 PM, over three days from 19 – 21 March 2019.
