Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC), the principal offtaker for water and wastewater projects in Saudi Arabia, has issued Request for Qualification (RFQ) to interested companies for the 600,000 cubic metres per day Rabigh 4 Independent Water Plant (IWP) project.

In May, Zawya Projects had reported that SWPC issued an Expression of Interest (EoI) invite for Rabigh 4 IWP, located in Rabigh, 180 kilometres northwest of Makkah, on the Red Sea coast, with a submission deadline of 30 June 2021. 

SWPC didn't disclose list of interested companies or the submission deadline in the RFQ invite.

The project is scheduled to start commercial operations in 2025.

KPMG is the lead and financial advisor; Eversheds Sutherland is the legal advisor, and WSP is the technical advisor for Rabigh 4 IWP.
