Mobily will exempt its clients under the Ministry of Health (MoH) quarantine from paying their postpaid package bills for the month of April. The move, launched in agreement with other telecom operators, STC and Zain, is in line with nationwide efforts to combat the spread of COVID-19 and Mobily’s social responsibility.

The exemption is limited to clients under MoH quarantine and excludes those under optional home quarantine. The exemption covers charges for the April bill for postpaid packages only — voice and data — excluding international call charges and application subscriptions.

The list of customers eligible for the exemption will be provided by the MoH. If a customer has more than one postpaid number under his personal ID, the company is obligated to apply the exemption only to the number that will be included in the MoH’s list for those quarantined due to the coronavirus.

Moreover, if a customer has a fiber optic or a fixed line, neither will be included in the exemption as the initiative is exclusive to mobile (portable) numbers only used while under quarantine.

The aim of the initiative is to allow those quarantined to communicate with their loved ones within Saudi Arabia and enjoy Internet services during the quarantine.
