Dubai Chamber said the building is a symbol of sustainability and has been designed to meet LEED Platinum certification with over 40% of its energy requirements taken care of by clean sources, a strategic move made by Dubai Chamber in line with Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050.

The expansion project supports Dubai Chamber’s efforts to meet the evolving needs of Dubai’s dynamic business community and enhance the well-being and happiness of its employees, while it also adds to the organisation’s achievements in green building and sustainability, it stated.

After becoming the first existing building in the region to achieve LEED certification in 2009, Dubai Chamber earned Leed Platinum Certification for its headquarters in 2014.
The Chamber also had invested AED 5.4 million in the University of Dubai, which in 2019 became the first Leed certified net-zero energy building in the region, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
