UAE – The number of passengers who travelled through the Sharjah International Airport rose by 14% year-on-year during the first seven months of 2019, AlKhaleej Newspaper reported.

The airport has welcomed around 7.86 million travelers at the end of July 2019, versus 6.88 million passengers in the same period of 2018.

The increase in the travellers number was mainly driven by the diversification of destinations and additional flights of the airlines such as Air Arabia.

In 2018, the number of travellers through the Sharjah International Airport grew by 6% to 12.04 million passengers, compared to 11.36 million people in 2017.
