Pak-Saudi Joint Trade Mission signs deals to boost relations

MoUs will to enhance bilateral trade and investment

JEDDAH — Pak-Saudi Joint Trade Mission ended with the signing of Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) between Jeddah Chamber of Commerce & Industry and five chambers of Pakistan including Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa & Haripur Chambers of Commerce & Industry.

The MoUs will to enhance bilateral trade and investment between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. The trade bodies that are signatories to MoU would act as Focal Points to facilitate businessmen to have frequent exchange of delegates, exchange of Information, and mutual facilitation to ease doing business in partner countries.

Mahzen Batterjie, Vice Chairman, Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industries (JCCI); and Zayed Bassam, Vice Chairman, JCCI signed the respective MoUs from Jeddah Chamber, while the Pakistani side was signed by the presidents of respective chambers.

Pak-Saudi Joint Trade Mission held two days meetings in Jeddah on Jan. 13 and 14, with some the participation of 36 Pakistani and 80 Saudi food and construction companies under the auspices of Saudi Export Development Authority (SEDA) to discuss and explore opportunities to increase bilateral trade. The Pakistan business delegation is visiting Saudi Arabia on invitation of SEDA with the purpose of exploring more avenues in trade development. — SG
