Orange Egypt sponsored the third career summit, which was held to support the youth of Upper Egypt in cooperation with the comprehensive career counseling platform Career180.

The forum was held online and brought together more than 6,000 young attendees, providing them with an opportunity to benefit from the forum in addition to career guidance while adopting the precautionary measures to secure the safety of the attendees.

Egypt Career Summit version in Upper Egypt, focused on "career counseling", as it mainly targeting students and graduates of Upper Egypt universities to understand the requirements of the labor market and providing them with the necessary information and tools that qualify them for the market through more than 40 direct online counseling sessions and 30 workshops for free.

Upper Egypt youth participated in various business fields, where Orange Egypt employees had a prominent participation represented by Dalia Ahmed, from Orange Egypt Human Resources department, and Mohamed Shady, from Orange Assiut Call Center department.

During the various workshops, Dalia Ahmed gave a comprehensive presentation on job opportunities in Upper Egypt, how to prepare for them, and how to succeed in doing the required tasks. On the other hand, Mohamed Shady gave a presentation on the success story of Assiut Call Center and the role it plays in providing convenient job opportunities for innovative youth.

Through the forum, Orange Egypt aimed to back Upper Egypt, which does not have much career development opportunities, despite its ambitious talents who can achieve great successes if they get the appropriate support.

This is the third employment forum held under the sponsorship of Orange Egypt in 2020 as the company has managed to provide services to more than 16,000 young men and women all over Egypt.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19 and the harsh circumstances witnessed by the labor market due to the pandemic, Orange Egypt developed its own community support strategy in this field and managed to attract hundreds of companies and thousands of job seekers. Additionally, Orange experts and officials participated in holding seminars and workshops to provide technical advice to fresh graduates, promote their skills and qualify them for the Egyptian labor market.

Orange employment forums come as part of Orange's Corporate Social Responsibility strategy, which aims to provide support to the Egyptian community through various campaigns and initiatives. Moreover, Orange sincerely believes in the efficiency and innovation of the Egyptian youth and always supports their ambitions and dreams.

It is worth noting that Orange has organized the first employment summit in  February 2020, which was held at the Greek Campus of the American University  and was attended by more than 4000 attendees from various universities and governorates. The summit is one of the largest career development events in Egypt. During this forum, Orange perused to foster job awareness, prepare more qualified competencies, and support students and graduates through career development guidelines and advice.

In July 2020, Orange sponsored the 2nd Egypt Career Summit 2020, the first online employment fair, titled "On Fair Event". The forum was attended by more than 6,000 young people who received 40 online sessions presented by 100 experts, in the presence of 20 companies and more than 10 universities.

Commenting on this occasion, Hala Abdel Wadood, Head of Public Relation and Corporate Social Responsibility at Orang Egypt, said “CSR is limitless. Even in the same field, Orange is keen to diversify its means to achieve the utmost benefits for the community and target groups. Orange has already succeeded in maximizing its social role to contribute in eliminating unemployment rates and reducing the gap between the requirements of the labor market and the experiences of university graduates.”

Abdel Wadood asserted that such activities boost communication between different employers and ambitious youth through offering job opportunities in different fields. Accordingly, the company's efforts will achieve significant results.
