Haya Water recently began construction work in Bausher 1 aiming to establish a wastewater and treated water network. The total cost of the project is RO7mn and was awarded to Ghantoot Transport and General Construction Company.

Eng Khalid bin Hasan al Lawati, acting general manager, projects said that the Bausher 1 project is one of the most important projects in the wilayat due to high-rise development buildings which the wilayat has witnessed during the last decades.

Through this project, the company will connect 527 plots, including residential, commercial and governmental entities.

Eng Lawati added that the project will also connect the new Oman mall and Al Sadeeq Al Ameen Mosque. “The project will consist of sewage networks with a total length of 23km and treated water network of 5.7km.

“The purpose of the project is to facilitate collection of sewage flows from the existing and proposed buildings in the area and to consolidate the collected sewage flows to Al Ansab Sewage Treatment Plant safely in an environment-friendly manner.”

The total length of the sewage network (completed and under construction) is 556km. The networks connect around 12,199 plots, residential, commercial and governmental institutions. Furthermore, the length of treated water networks is 134km.

The length of the future sewage network projects till 2045 will be 2,518km and the length of the treated water 302km.
