Beirut, Lebanon: OLX, the leading online cars platform in Lebanon, has reviewed user trends, preferences and activities during Ramadan 2018.

Results show that visitor traffic during Ramadan peaked between 9-11pm after Iftar and 2-3am around Suhoor time, compared to 1-2pm throughout the rest of the year. The lowest activity was recorded around 7pm (iftar time). The most searched terms in the Cars section were Mercedes, BMW, ATV, CRV, Toyota, X5, Honda, Kia, Bus (Van), and Camaro, reflecting a variety of users’ needs and tastes in Lebanon.

During the first ten days of Ramadan, OLX Lebanon Cars section also recorded:

  • Over 16,000 cars were listed for sale
  • An average of 112,000 daily active users
  • More than 180,000 messages exchanged through the Instant chat feature. The peak period for using the chat feature was between 8 and 11p.m, which means that people start purchasing and browsing after they break their fast.
  • Each user spent an average of 14 minutes per visit browsing Cars on the platform
