•Communities are getting self-regulated on the importance of testing

Abu Dhabi: UAE has put together some commendable work in fighting the pandemic successfully via a combination of measures including maintaining social distancing, holding vaccination drives, and practicing Covid 19 protocols. As the per-day new positive infections go down below 100 cases and the vaccinated population reaches close to 100%, we enter an era of a new normal whereby we practice co-existential living with the virus and treating its dread as equal to that of the flu: taking precautions and always maintaining a negative status.

"It is important for every member of the community to do regular PCR tests in order to help continue the fight against COVID-19. It is a personal responsibility of every individual that promotes the health and safety of the loved ones around them," said Dr. Shamina Hatoon, Medical Practitioner at Oxford Medical Centre.

As the communities get more and more aware, NMC Healthcare opened its all-new Covid-19 drive-thru facility at Oxford Medical Centre, Muroor Road in Abu Dhabi. The facility gets added to NMC’s list of drive-thru centers located in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi at NMC Speciality Hospital Electra Street, Bareen International Hospital MBZ City, NMC Royal Medical Centres at Karama, and Shahama, and NMC Royal Hospital Khalifa City.

NMC Healthcare’s CEO Michael Davis, along with Clancey Po, President of Operations, inaugurated the new drive-thru facility at Oxford Medical Center – Muroor in Abu Dhabi.

During the official opening ceremony, Davis said, “NMC had been at the forefront of battling the pandemic, shouldering the responsibility with the nation’s institutes in its detection and vaccination drives. As we dedicate yet another COVID-19 RT-PCR drive-thru facility to serve the ever-growing needs of the community, we remain grateful to the regulatory and community for the trust that they have placed in our facilities and faculties.”

The new facility will provide residents within the community and the surrounding areas access to COVID-19 RT-PCR test in the convenience of their vehicles, seven days a week.

NMC said, the drive-thru facility at Oxford Medical Center – Muroor Road, Abu Dhabi is open Saturday to Thursday, from 9am to 9:30pm, and Fridays, from 2pm to 9:30pm.
