Muscat – In its latest efforts to support the country’s fight against COVID-19, National Bank of Oman (NBO) has vaccinated 100 per cent of its employees and donated vaccines to the Ministry of Health. The bank was among the first private institutions to introduce its vaccine rollout in June 2021, part of various initiatives it has launched in order to minimise the impact of the pandemic, while safeguarding the health and safety of its employees and customers.

Since March 2020, the bank has donated over OMR 1.5 million to the government and healthcare services, the majority of which has been used to purchase critical and life-saving equipment and supplies for the most strained hospitals across the country. Meanwhile, to continue serving its customers as safely as possible, and in line with guidance from the Supreme Committee for dealing with Coronavirus (COVID-19), those wishing to enter the bank’s branches must provide a full vaccination certificate, with certain exemptions according to official regulations. NBO also continues to offer an expanding range of services on its digital platforms, including internet banking and its award-winning mobile app, to ensure that its customers can bank at their convenience.
