Dubai, UAE: The recently declared IB Diploma Programme results have shown great success for Innoventures Education’s students in this world-renowned and rigorous qualification.

Dubai International Academy has shown first-rate results for the outgoing class of 2018. The highest score of 44 points, which is attained by less than 1% of the population globally, has been achieved by Paulomi Sengupta. Paulomi will soon be joining the University of Nottingham UK to study Medicine. An elated Paulomi said “The IB was a truly transformative experience and I’m thrilled and excited with the results. I can’t thank my teachers enough for all their support and for shaping me as a person as well as a student. As challenging as the IB was, it was also extremely rewarding and I’m confident that it has prepared me well for both university and life in general.”

It is notable that not only have 18% of the students achieved a score of 38 points or more, 76% of the graduating class has exceeded the world average of 30 points. 13 of the students scored over 40 points and above and the cohort reached an average of 34 points overall.

Students of Dubai International Academy will be joining top-tier universities this year including Stanford University, Brown University, Cornell University, McGill, University of British Columbia, University College of London, London School of Economics and Political Science and the Russell-Group universities. All Emirati students who passed the Diploma; Hussein Ali Abdulhussein Dawood will be attending The University of British Columbia to study Engineering on a full scholarship after gaining an impressive total score of 36 points in the Diploma Programme and Fahad Ahmed Ali Murad Tajiki will be attending Purdue University on a full scholarship to study Engineering. The class of 2018 has obtained cumulative scholarships amounting to well over $5 million.

Collegiate American School, the group’s American –IB school has also demonstrated strong results and 100% success across all Diploma Programme and courses. Twenty-seven graduates have accepted admissions offers from 13 nations with studies at institutions such as Arizona State University’s School of Business Law and Newcastle University School of Biology and Oceanography. Special congratulations to the winners of the prestigious Sandcat Awards, both UAE Nationals, Ghalya Alzarooni and Mohammed Al Faour. Ghalya who will be pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering and entering the Cadet Pilot Program at Emirates Aviation University, Mohammed continues with his passion for Environmental Awareness at Newcastle and Majed Aljanahi will attend NYU Abu Dhabi on a full scholarship after serving in the UAE’s National Service.

Raffles World Academy has reported strong International Baccalaureate (IB) results with outstanding performance from a number of Emirati students.

Top scoring Emirati student at Raffles World Academy, Alia Khoori who attained 38 points, will be attending King’s College London to pursue Economics. Another Emirati student Hind Falaknaz, who scored 34 points, will be going to University of Kent to study Economics. Collectively, all Emirati students of the school have scored well above the IB world average of 30 points. All Emirati students have attained the IB Diploma and each of them is pursuing their higher education with full scholarship from the UAE government. Each year the performance of Emirati students has been promising. Last year too Emirati student Zuhdi Al Khateeb had scored 41 points being the highest achieving Emirati in the IB Diploma in UAE.

Around 25 per cent of students in Raffles World Academy achieved a score of 35 points or more, and almost 62 per cent of the graduating class exceeded the world average of 30 points. The top five achievers in the IBDP all intend to pursue further study in STEM subjects and a record number of students are celebrating after being accepted into some of the top universities in the world. The two top performing students were Mahima Bharadwaj and Teona Milunovic, both with 40+ points; Mahima is going to study medicine at St. George’s College, Grenada and Teona is going to study Pharmacy.
