Dubai: Dubai’s largest night souq, the 10-day Ramadan Night Market, opened its doors to public among much anticipation and excitement on Thursday.

The annual shopping extravaganza brings with it family entertainment, exclusive deals, discounts and opportunities to win fabulous prizes, an array of international cuisines and gaming zones for both adults and children.

Shopping choices offer a variety of products from clothing, jewellery and accessories, health and beauty products, perfumes, home appliances, electronics, toys, handicrafts, automobiles, travel and tourism and medical among other attractions.

“It’s been a great five-year journey for Ramadan Night Market which has grown progressively,” said Samantha Cordeiro Miranda, brand manager, Sumansa Exhibitions. “We have had a very encouraging response from our visitors who eagerly wait for the annual market. Ramadan Night Market is more than just a shopping extravaganza; it’s an opportunity to relax, eat good food, get an adrenalin rush while playing exciting games and spend good family time. We realise the importance of indoor entertainment, particularly during hot summer and the fact that most children are on vacation.”

Shopping aside, this year’s Ramadan Night Market is packed with entertainment value, courtesy new thrilling adventures in the gaming zones, living statues, cartoon character mascots, more intensive free health check-ups, exclusive henna majlis for ladies and the new, fun-filled confetti theatre for children. Visitors can look forward to a range of bargains: from discounts up to 80 per cent to free vouchers, gifts, home delivery on certain purchases.

Foodies can look forward to a selection from a huge number of food outlets all under one roof.

The 10-day event is being held from June 23 to July 2, at Za’abeel Hall 5, Dubai World Trade Centre.

Ramadan Night Market will be open from 8pm to 2am on all days. Entry fee of the event is Dh5 per person with free entry for children under five years.
