Dubai, UAE: GEMS International School (GIS) hosted Jennifer Aquino – a renowned international university admissions expert and author – to conduct a workshop guiding students with higher education related queries and university applications.

She worked for a week with GEMS International School students and parents. Throughout the week her workshops and one on one sessions were developed for students of Grade 9, 10 and 11, along with parents and covered topics such as the best fit for universities around the world, how to fill in applications, a writing workshop for personal statements and essays, and what to prepare for teacher recommendations.

Author of ‘The International Family Guide to US University Admission’, Jennifer Aquino has over 20 years of experience in the field of international education spanning four continents from teaching, admissions and fund-raising to educational publishing and university management.

Glen Radojkovich, Head of GEMS International School said: “We brought Jennifer to Dubai, because university planning and preparation is essential for all of our students, any advantage or advice we can provide is with the investment. Jennifer is recognised as one of the best in the field and her expertise coupled with our experienced staff made for a winning combination for our students.”

Jennifer Aquino commented: “I came back to Singapore totally energized, and hoping, very much, that your students and community greatly benefited from my visit. It's clear they see how you care for your students and they are more open and thoughtful as a result of it.”
