Dubai: Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower), the world's largest district cooling services provider, announced its readiness to meet the growing demand for district cooling services, especially in the hospitality sector as the UAE outperforms the key European markets, including Germany, Britain, Spain and France in terms of the number of hotel rooms under construction. Statistics shows that the total number of hotel rooms under construction in UAE is 54,438 as of July 2019. Empower also announced that it provides district cooling services to 126 hotels across Dubai, including many land mark hotels, as of August 2019.

This comes on the sidelines of the Hotel Show, which will be held from 17 to 19 September 2019, at the Dubai World Trade Center; to review the future of the hospitality industry in the UAE, which is currently in a booming stage. The Hotel Show Dubai will host more than 30,000 visitors, including decision-makers, supply managers, designers, engineers, chefs, and other hospitality professionals from around the world

Empower highlighted that it has recently worked on the expansion of its pipe networks, in addition to the establishment of several unmanned fully-automated permanent plants across Dubai, to meet the increasing demand for district cooling services.

“We are constantly developing infrastructure to keep pace with the growing demand for district cooling services, especially with the booming of real estate projects, in the UAE in general, and Dubai in particular,” Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO of Empower.

Bin Shafar stressed that Empower strives to offer comprehensive and sustainable district cooling services for customers, according to global standards.

“The hospitality industry is one of the key sectors that we are keen on investing in. This contributes to enhancing the Hospitality and Tourism industry by reducing cost and adopting environmentally friendly solutions, while providing the ideal environment to attract tourists,” added Bin Shafar.

Bin Shafar highlighted that Empower’s pipe network is characterized by the highest quality that enables it to continue providing district cooling services for over 50 years with the utmost efficiency. It is characterized by high efficiency that allows it to maintain the best cooling temperatures inside without being affected by external factors and high temperature.

Empower provides district cooling services to JW Marriott Marquis Dubai Towers, Burj Al Arab, and Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel, which have been listed by WorldAtlas.com as some of the tallest hotels in the world. Empower also offers its services to the Royal Atlantis, Jumeirah Al Naseem, Madinat Jumeirah, among others.

According to the Arabian Travel Market, Expo 2020 Dubai is expected to have a positive impact on the long-term growth rate of tourism in the UAE, from five major markets, between 2018 and 2023.

Empower provides district cooling services to more than 1,090 buildings, catering to more than 100,000 customers. The company operates more than 1.43 Million Refrigeration Tons (RT), providing environmentally friendly district cooling services to large-scale real estate developments, such as Bluewaters, Jumeirah Group, Business Bay, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Dubai International Financial Centre, Palm Jumeirah, Jumeirah Lake Towers, Ibn Battuta Mall, Discovery Gardens, Dubai Healthcare City, Dubai World Trade Centre Residences and Dubai Design District, Dubai Production City and others.
