DubaiEmaar Hospitality Group, a subsidiary of Emaar Properties, on Wednesday announced signing a partnership agreement with the Dubai-based Kalyan Group to expand in Sub-Saharan Africa’s hospitality market.

The deal enables Emaar Properties’ hospitality and leisure business to operate Address Hotel 2 Février Lomé Togo, an iconic hotel set in the heart of the city in the heart of the city and in the tallest building in Western African nation, according to the company’s statement.

The management agreement was signed by CEO of Emaar Hospitality Group Olivier Harnisch and Ashok Gupta, CEO of Kalyan Hospitality Development Togo SAU, and Founder and CEO of Kalyan Group, which owns the hotel.

Located only 7 kilometres from the Lomé–Tokoin International Airport, Address Hotel 2 Février Lomé Togo will be operated by Address Hotels + Resorts, Emaar Hospitality Group's premium lifestyle hotel and serviced residences brand.

Address Hotel 2 Février Lomé Togo features 256 rooms and suites and 64 serviced apartments in addition to multiple themed restaurants, meeting venues and other attractions. The hotel is expected to welcome guests shortly after the rebranding, Emaar added.

Togo marks the sixth international destination for Address Hotels + Resorts brand, along with its upcoming hotel projects in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Turkey, Bahrain and The Maldives, in addition to several working hotels and new openings in the UAE.

Emaar Hospitality Group has noted that it plans to operate more hotels in Sub-Saharan Africa, one of the key growth markets.
