Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s Holding Company for Water and Wastewater (HCWW) is in talks with a group of local companies to execute many drinking water and sanitation projects.

Orascom Development Egypt and Hassan Allam Sons are interesting in the execution of these projects, HCWW’s chairman Mamdouh Raslan told Mubasher.

The government is keen on the development of drinking water and sanitation utilities in Upper Egypt in line with Vision 2030, the top official added.

Raslan stated that Egypt was cooperating with donors in sanitation projects in villages in 17 governorates, with EGP 40 billion financing portfolio.

HCWW signed a number of agreements to secure EGP 20 billion finance for projects in Faiyum, Gharbia, and Kafr El Sheikh.
