Egyptian developer Oriental for Urban Development (OUD) plans to complete the recently launched second phase of its Azadir compound in three years, a company board member told Thomson Reuters Projects.

The project is located in the 5th Assembly in New Cairo.

Mohamed Mohamed Farid Khamis said the 70,000-square metre second phase comprises of 13 buildings, a mall, and leisure facilities, and would be completed in three years from the start of construction.

He declined to disclose the project costs but said Cairo-based Azure is the project's architect and lead consultant.

OUD is a subsidiary of Oriental Weavers Group, one of the largest carpets and rug manufacturers in the world.
