DUBAI- Dawood Al Hajiri, Director-General of Dubai Municipality, has issued an administrative decision to form a committee for the development of residential neighbourhoods in Dubai.

The committee will look into the improvement of the municipality's service level in the residential neighbourhoods by enhancing the amenities, service locations, recreational, beautification and heritage sites. The decision is in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to provide citizens with a decent living environment and comfortable accommodation options that will meet their needs.

It is also part of achieving the vision of Dubai Municipality to develop a happy and sustainable city.

Al Hajiri said that the formation of the committee aims at exploring the future needs of the residential neighbourhoods throughout Dubai, which contributes to the continuous development process to achieve the happiness of the community and expand the umbrella of comfort and prosperity especially for the elderly and the people of determination, by meeting all their needs and focusing on increasing green areas.

Al Hajiri added that the committee's tasks will be reflected in the preparation of an integrated study on the development of residential neighbourhoods in Dubai, including the development of a plan to implement the project quickly and adopt all creative ideas that enrich its objectives.

He added that the municipality will allow the residents to share their proposals in developing the neighbourhoods.
