Dubai: Dubai College of Tourism (DCT), a training and vocational institution established by Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism), has launched a series of Summer Short Courses for students interested in pursuing a career within the tourism industry. DCT continues to offer innovative educational experiences, designed and conducted by industry expert instructors using interactive and immersive hands-on teaching techniques. The courses range from beginner ‘Principles’ series with courses in retail, marketing, event management and travel agency operations, to intermediate courses in Digital Marketing, Branding and Experiential Marketing hosted under the ‘Master Classes’ series.

Held at the contemporary, purpose-built college facility at Dubai Tourism’s headquarters, located in One Central within the dynamic Dubai World Trade Centre area, the Summer Short Courses will empower students of all levels to succeed in the city’s thriving tourism sector. With no prerequisites required, young Emirati and expatriate students can delve freely into the variety of curated courses offered both throughout the week and at weekends.

Commenting on the introduction of the short courses, Essa Bin Hadher, General Manager of DCT said: “Dubai College of Tourism remains committed to providing high quality, alternative educational opportunities to aspiring individuals who are eager to learn more about the tourism industry. The new short courses have been developed in collaboration with highly esteemed industry professionals to offer a cohesive and well-rounded syllabus, ensuring relevancy in today’s market to allow individuals to enter the industry equipped with the knowledge and skill-sets required to advance in their future careers.”
