Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB), a leading provider of Islamic financing solutions, has provided project financing for KIMSHEALTH Bahrain, enabling the launch of its latest medical facility, KIMSHEALTH Hospital located in Umm Al-Hassam.

With a total construction area of 10,000 sq m, KIMSHEALTH Hospital, boasts more than 20 specialties, a modern infrastructure, along with the latest technology and state-of-the-art facilities. The multi-specialty Hospital has two operating rooms, radiology, ICU, laboratory and inpatient rooms.

With the inauguration of the new Hospital, KIMSHEALTH has become one of the largest private healthcare providers, with two hospitals and four medical centres in Bahrain, namely, Royal Bahrain Hospital (RBH) in Salmaniya, KIMSHEALTH Hospital in Umm Al Hassam, RBH Medical Center in Janabiyah and KIMSHEALTH Medical Centres in Umm Al Hassam, Muharraq and Askar.

The expansion reflects KIMSHEALTH’s commitment towards making quality healthcare more accessible to the people of Bahrain. During the pandemic, KIMSHEALTH Hospital has worked closely with the National Taskforce for combating Covid-19, allocating inpatient facilities for coronavirus patients, marking itself as the first and only private facility to do so.

Commenting on the occasion, Jawad Humaidan, Acting Chief of Corporate & Institutional Banking at BisB, said: “We are delighted to contribute to the development of the medical sector in the kingdom by providing financing facilities to KIMSHEALTH Bahrain. We look forward to the completion of the new KIMSHEALTH Hospital, while will play a pivotal role in the ongoing development of the private healthcare sector in the kingdom.”
