Diyar Al Muharraq, a leading real estate developer in Bahrain, said that Dragon City Mall, one of the largest whole-sale and retail trade centres in the Kingdom, attracted nearly one million visitors in August.

Statistics have revealed that Dragon City Mall has received more than 6.1 million visitors since the beginning of the year. The daily average footfall in August 2019 exceeded 25,000 visitors per day, which was an 8.6 per cent increase in comparison to last year.

Ahmed Al Ammadi, CEO of Diyar Al Muharraq said: “We are proud of Dragon City Mall achievements this year. Last August saw the debut of DiDi, Dragon City Mall’s official mascot which will be the new face of the mall across social media accounts and at different mall events. The mascot launch comes in line with Chinamex, Dragon City Mall’s operating company, to solidify the mall’s position as one of the leading shopping centre in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the first choice for shoppers from Bahrain and neighbouring countries.

Dragon City Mall is located at the south west of the southern island of Diyar Al Muharraq, which covers an area of 115,000 sq m. It is the first of its kind project in the Kingdom and includes Dragon City, a built-up area of 56,000 sq m, Dragon Apartments which are in close proximity to the mall, occupying a total land area of 20,000 sq m, these apartments comprise of six multi-storey residential buildings which offer the ideal residence for the staff working within Diyar Al Muharraq and near the mall.

In addition, Dragon Plaza covers an area of 5,000 sq m, as well as an allocated area for warehouses.
