Baghdad's governor has approved the construction of new six schools across the governorate, his office said in a press statement.

Projects approved include two 18-class secondary schools in Husayniyah and Mahmudiya districts; an 18-class primary school in Bab al-Sham area and three 12-class primary schools in Al- Shuaala area, the statement said.

Mohammed Jaber al-Atta said in the statement that new schools are part of a programme to construct new schools and rehabilitate existing ones in order to reduce double shifts.
