AMMAN The Jordan-based Arab Union of Electricity on Sunday signed an agreement with KPMG Jordan to restructure the union.

The agreement, funded by the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, aims to assess the 19-member union's achievements and activities in the electricity sector and to improve its performance according to best practices, Secretary General and Director General of the National Electric Power Company Amjad Rawashdeh said.

Restructuring the union would help improve the efficiency of electric systems, he said, adding that the union will start updating its data and statistics with the aim of formulating regional performance indicators.
