ALGIERS- Algeria's annual inflation increased to 4.4 percent in May from 4.3 percent in April on a sharp rise in some food prices, data showed on Monday.
On a monthly basis, the consumer price index rose 1.8 percent, according to the National Statistics Bureau.
Prices for vegetables and fruits were up 15.1 percent and 9.6 percent year on year respectively, while the cost of fish fell 8.3 percent.
