Ajman Sewerage's Directors confirmed the Company's strategy to focus on environment preservation plans and customer experience enhancement programs that will benefit the expanding emirate of Ajman.

Ajman, UAE: Led under the guidance and leadership of Ajman Sewerage’s Chairman HH Sheikh Rashid Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, the Company’s Board of Directors reviewed the company’s investment plans, budget, and expansion strategies, which have been lined for 2017.

Culminating the meeting, HH Sheikh Rashid Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi said: “With an overall expansion plan worth 600 million dirham, we are committed to the development of a sustainable and modern sewerage system that is in line with the preservation of our environment. Our capacities and strategies alongside leading water treatment technologies aim to benefit Ajman’s citizens. We shall continue to provide best practice, leading-edge water treatment services and will also continually focus on revitalizing Ajman’s environment with sustainable and water re-use initiatives.”

The company informed that in 2017 they foresee expansion of sewerage infrastructure in Ajman, especially within the network coverage spanning Al Safia and part of Al Jurf 1, Al Jurf 2, Al Jurf Industrial and Al Ragayeb districts. In 2018 the company forecasts expansion in Al Mowaihat, Al Ragayeb and several other newly-developed areas in Ajman. By 2020 the size of the sewerage network is expected to double with more than 600 km of pipelines and 30 pumping stations in total, thus allowing 100,000 additional citizens to benefit from the modern sewerage infrastructure. Ajman Sewerage also plans to undertake upgrades of several pumping stations and construct a new major transmission pipeline in the centre of the city to cater for the water treatment and sewerage needs of a growing population in Ajman.

Presenting latest initiatives to mark up its Customer Service department, Mr. Christophe Ledur, General Manager, revealed, “It is important that we align our customer services with expansion plans to ensure seamless customer experience. Alongside the mobile application and the new e-payment platform on our website which have been both launched in October this year, we will be allocating a new customer service centre in Al Rawdha district in 2017, which will further improve our customer’s accessibility to our services.”
